This is the objection that actually matters
There is no magic KaiOS WhatsApp that is worth building a life on. Treat it as a computer problem, not a phone problem.
Three setups that work

Practical rules
- Do not leave the old smartphone in your pocket “just for WhatsApp.” That is how the feed returns.
- Do send one group message: you will miss calls if they only ping WhatsApp. Give the number. Link how to switch.
- Work chats can stay on a laptop. Personal chats can move to SMS. Mixed groups are messy; pick a side for 14 days.
What will not work
Using a “lite” Android feature phone as a WhatsApp machine. You will reinstall the store in your head. If you need WhatsApp every evening, you are not ready for a single dumb phone — you are ready for two phones or a later bedtime.
